Awami Workers Party, SUP protest against non-fumigation in Larkana UC-18

LARKANA:The activists of Awami Workers Party and Sindh United Party held a protest demonstration at Jinnah Bagh here on Friday against non-fumigation and uncleanliness in Union Committee-18.

They were holding placards in their hands and chanted slogans in favour of their justified demands. Manzoor Shaikh, Bashir Shaikh, Sajjad Gadhi, Fatah Janwari, Manzoor Kalhoro, Kamal Jamblat and others alleged that PPP had made entire Sindh, including Larkana a garbage dump, and UC-18 secretary had made Allahabad, Golimar, Khuda Abad and others areas as most neglected areas of the city.

They said that whenever they had gone to the office of the UC secretary, he was found absent from his duty along with other employees. They claimed that Rs600,000 were monthly allocated for cleanliness in those areas to the UC but where the budget was utilized was unknown because, they added, residents lived under miserable conditions.

They said heaps of garbage could be witnessed everywhere due to which mosquitoes hade also emerged which had created havoc in the area but no fumigation had so far been arranged.

They said various diseases had also surfaced in those localities and the citizens were passing their days under extremely unhygienic conditions which should be stopped. They urged the relevant government authorities to take notice of the issues and resolve them immediately so that they could be able to live like other human beings.
