A compelling stage presentation examining the complexities of societal norms and human behaviour garnered an enthusiastic reception from spectators on the 10the day of the Awami Theatre Festival 2026.

The play, titled ‘Be Positive’, was presented at Auditorium II of the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi. Penned and directed by senior actor Nazar Hussain, the production is set against the backdrop of a closed street, using its characters to portray the sweet and bitter realities of society, according to a statement today.

A large number of theatre enthusiasts filled the hall for the performance. The cast, featuring Shanzay, Billu Zareef, Honey Khan, Kamal Idrees, and Nasira Noor, delivered powerful and engaging portrayals that captivated the attendees.

In a light-hearted yet meaningful style, the narrative delves into social attitudes, individual psychology, and the challenges of daily existence.

It is noteworthy that the Awami Theatre Festival, which commenced on January 22, will continue until February 15. All performances at AC Auditorium II are open to the general public free of cost.
