Begum Nusrat Bhutto’s 97th birth anniversary was celebrated today.
President Asif Ali Zardari, in his message, has paid great tribute to Begum Nusrat Bhutto, who was a great political figure in the history of Pakistan.
In his message, the president hailed the “Madar-e-Jamhooriat” (Mother of Democracy) as a great political figure in Pakistan”s history.
Mr Zardari stated that the life of the former first lady was marked by grace, fortitude, and a firm commitment to democratic values.
He further noted that Begum Nusrat Bhutto remained resolute in her endeavours to champion the democratic system throughout her life.
