Biometric and Hospital Information Management System in SESSI offices and hospitals Directive for complete implementation

Commissioner Sindh Employees Social Security Institution (SESSI), Hadi Bakhsh Kalhoro, today issued a strict directive for the immediate resolution of challenges hindering the complete implementation of the Biometric and Hospital Information Management System in SESSI offices and hospitals, with a strict deadline of next week.

Presiding over an important review session at SESSI Head Office today, Commissioner Kalhoro meticulously reviewed the progress made on directives issued in the previous meeting. The gathering was attended by Vice Commissioner Sikandar Baloch, Medical Advisor and Focal Person for Biometric and HIMS initiatives Dr. Kamran Awan, Directors from Head Office, Field Directors from across Sindh, as well as Medical Superintendents and Chief Medical Officers from SESSI healthcare institutions, who joined remotely via Zoom.

During the proceedings, senior officials presented comprehensive reports on the progress of Biometric and HIMS installation. They apprised the Commissioner of various practical difficulties encountered in the ongoing integration of these crucial digital platforms.

Medical Superintendents and Chief Medical Officers confirmed that data entry of medical equipment under the HIMS framework has already commenced. They assured the Commissioner that all remaining tasks would be expedited for completion as soon as possible. Commissioner Kalhoro reiterated his firm stance, emphasizing that no laxity would be tolerated in achieving these objectives, and ordered all obstacles to be removed without delay.

Dr. Kamran Awan, serving as the dedicated Focal Person for Biometric and HIMS projects, provided participants with a detailed update on the progress achieved so far in the launch of both systems.
