Islamabad, January 27, 2018 (PPI-OT):Under the directives of Chairperson/Minister of State for Benazir Income Support Programme Ms. Marvi Memon, Child protection campaign for awareness of beneficiary mothers and women was organized today in various divisions of Balochistan in BISP offices. These divisional offices include Quetta, Nasirabad, Zhob, Loralai, Makran, Kalat at Uthal and Sibi. The Main Event took place in Quetta Division BISP office Quetta Director General BISP Balochistan initiated the campaign as Chief Guest of the event. Around 300 mothers attended the event.
The main purpose of this campaign was to create an awareness among the segment of the society especially women / mothers to safeguard and protect their children from various social evils , child abuse, child labor, child harassment and all kinds of injustices done to the innocent children. DG Balochistan addressing the beneficiary mothers said that women have to play important rule in imparting true sense of living providing education and joyful life to the children. Mothers lap is the first educational institution for every child.
Mother can make and unmake the future of the children. He further added that BISP is key partner in creating awareness among mothers for protection of their children. At present BISP Balochistan is providing financial aid to around 38 thousand children for seeking education at Primary level and in this way around 15 thousand family are being empowered and facilitated. On this occasion Divisional Director BISP Quetta, Deputy Director (Initiatives) Balochistan and other BISP representatives were also present.
