Gurgaon, September 02, 2022 (PPI-OT):A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader was shot dead by five unidentified persons inside a cloth showroom in Sadar Bazaar area in the Indian city of Gurgaon. Unknown persons fired upon the BJP leader, Sukhbir Khatana alias Sukhi, a resident of Rithoj village, when he went to the showroom with his friend. Critically injured Khatana, former vice president of Sohna market committee, was rushed to nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Khatana was close to Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and was preparing to contest the Zila Parishad election from Sohna. According to his Facebook account, Khatana was an RSS worker. Three hours before the murder he had updated his profile picture on the social media site, news agency Press Trust of India reported.
