Karachi: Governor of Sindh, Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi, declared on Tuesday that Pakistan is emerging as a stable and constructive global power, presenting vast opportunities for international investors.
Addressing a prestigious ceremony attended by foreign diplomats and prominent personalities, the governor asserted that the nation’s foreign policy is instrumental in resolving complex international conflicts.
He credited the country’s effective role in fostering regional peace to the “prudent leadership of the Prime Minister and the Field Marshal”. The event was hosted by the President of the PML-N Business Forum, Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, at his residence.
In a significant diplomatic gesture, the Consul General of Oman, Samee Abdullah Al Khanjari, speaking in his capacity as the Dean of Consuls General, assured the governor of their full cooperation.
Renowned businessman Arif Habib also addressed the gathering, affirming that the business community stands “shoulder to shoulder” with the government and is ready to fully support the development of Karachi and the improvement of its infrastructure.
The event saw a notable turnout from the diplomatic corps, with Consuls General from countries including China, Russia, Qatar, the United Kingdom, Thailand, Iraq, Morocco, Yemen, Sri Lanka, and Malaysia in attendance.
