Call to bring bodies of national player Shahida back to Pakistan

QUETTA: Muhammad Ramzan Hazara, provincial leader of National Party, has called on the authorities to take steps for bringing the bodies of national hockey player Shahida Raza back to Pakistan and take notice of the substandard Astro Turfs laid in Qayyum Papa Changezai Football Stadium, Alamdar Road, Quetta and Safdar Babul Hockey ground.

 

Addressing a press conference with Kashif Haidri, Ishaque Changezai and others at Quetta Press Club here on Wednesday, he said that national hockey and football player, along with other Pakistani immigrants, had drowned in the sea of Italy, adding that family members of Shahida Raza had been requesting the authorities to bring back the body, but so far no action had been taken.

 

He said that several sports facilities, including Qayyum Papa Changezai Football Stadium, Alamdar Road, Quetta and Safdar Babul Hockey ground, Quetta, had been dysfunctional. He demanded of the authorities to take steps for bringing the bodies of national hockey player Shahida Raza back to Pakistan and take notice of the substandard Astro Turf laid in Qayyum Papa Changezai Football Stadium and Safdar Babul Hockey ground, Quetta.
