QUETTA:Fazal-ur-Rehman, President GPE Teachers Association, has demanded of the authorities to regularize the services of GPE male and female teachers enabling them to render services for promotion of education in the province.

Addressing a press conference at Quetta Club here on Tuesday, he said that in accordance with the accord inked between Global Partnership for Education Project and Secondary Education Department during the year 2015, 1489 male as well as female teachers were to be appointed from 2016 to 2018 against the posts vacant in 775 newly established schools in the far-flung areas of the province.

Accordingly teachers were appointed through test conducted by NTS, said Rehman, adding that signed accord clearly stated that the services of 1489 teachers would be regularized in June, 2018, but despite lapse of considerable period of time, the services of 1489 teachers of Global Partnership for Education Project had not been regularized yet.
