Candlelight march in Kolkata against killings in IOK

Kolkata, November 05, 2019 (PPI-OT): A candlelight march was staged in Kolkata in protest against the recent killings of five Indian workers of Bengal by Indian agencies in occupied Kashmir. The protest was organized by the Trinamool Youth Congress and led by state minister Shashi Panja and Indian Rajya Sabha member Santanu Sen from Birla Planetarium to Gandhi statue at the Maidan in the city.

They walked behind a huge banner that demanded an independent inquiry into the death of the five workers from Murshidabad district, who were lined up and fatally shot by Indian secret agencies in presence of huge Indian forces at Katrasoo in Kulgam district of occupied territory on October 29.

Meanwhile, speaking to newspersons on a separate occasion, state Urban Development Minister Firhad Hakim demanded the resignation of Indian Home Minister Amit Shah for the killings of the workers from Bengal.” Why shouldn’t Amit Shah resign? They repealed Article 370 of the Constitution. What good has it done,” Hakim asked.
