Over 500 people were screened during extensive security operations conducted across the federal capital, as Islamabad Police intensified its efforts to curb crime and target illicit elements following special directives from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
According to a police report today, the widespread search and combing activities were executed under the direct supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, with consistent monitoring provided by the respective zonal Superintendents of Police. During these comprehensive operations, a total of 509 individuals underwent scrutiny. Additionally, 303 households, 47 hotels, 80 commercial establishments, 203 motorbikes, and 82 vehicles were also thoroughly checked.
Further, 38 suspect individuals and 21 motorbikes were transferred to police stations for additional verification processes. SSP Operations Islamabad stated that the primary objective of these security initiatives is to restrict the activities of offenders and bolster overall urban safety. Similar exercises are being conducted across various parts of the district.
The capital”s constabulary reiterated its commitment to impartial action against all forms of criminality, including land encroachers and narcotics traffickers.
