Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi today strongly asserted that preventing intellectual theft and adhering to copyright legislation are fundamental indicators of a sophisticated society, a statement made in observance of World Book and Copyright Day.
The Governor articulated that literary works serve as invaluable founts of knowledge and act as individuals” most steadfast companions. He highlighted the critical importance of cultivating a reading culture among younger generations to foster an intellectually robust community.
Mr. Hashmi further remarked that publications considerably broaden intellectual horizons, thereby augmenting understanding and awareness. He posited that advanced nations are fundamentally constructed upon a bedrock of scholarship, literature, and rigorous research.
Despite the pervasive influence of the digital age, Governor Hashmi noted that the significance of printed texts endures. He concluded by stressing that instilling a habit of reading among young people remains an urgent requirement for societal advancement.
