The President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, has strongly condemned India’s targeting of civilian populations along the Line of Control. He stated that by targeting the innocent residents of Azad Kashmir, India has demonstrated its panic.
As a result of the Indian firing, 31 civilians in Azad Kashmir have been martyred and 126 injured, while 299 houses have been destroyed. A total of 1,155 families have migrated to safer locations from various areas along the Line of Control.
The President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has instructed the government and administration to assess the damages caused by the Indian shelling and to provide immediate assistance to the affected people. He also emphasized that there should be no negligence in providing medical aid to the injured.
On this occasion, the President expressed his condolences to the families of those martyred by the Indian firing and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured.
