KARACHI: As part of its strategy and vision to develop, grow and incentivize high-performing talented youngsters, the Men’s Interim Selection Committee have added three top-performers from age-group cricket to the Pakistan Test squad with the objective of providing them international exposure and experience, according to PCB information on Tuesday. Skipper Babar Azam vows comeback in Test series against New Zealand

Karachi: Pakistan skipper Babar Azam Sunday vowed to make a comeback in Test series against New Zealand. While addressing a press conference in Karachi, he said that it was the duty of the Pakistani cricket team to show performance in the ground. He added that the players would do their best to play well against New Zealand. “The pitch looks good. I hope we will play well,” he stated. “We have not finalized the playing XI. PCB body appoints interim men’s selection committee

PCB plans to add Quetta as a venue for HBL PSL 8

LAHORE: Najam Sethi chaired the first meeting of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s Management Committee at the National High Performance Centre on Friday. The Management Committee received a detailed update on the HBL Pakistan Super League 8 and desired to add Quetta as the fifth venue for the eighth edition of the PCB’s annual marquee event, which is scheduled to be held from 13 February to 19 March. To ensure Bugti Stadium was ready to host the HBL PSL 8 matches, the Committee agreed that PCB will work closely with the local administration for up gradation and renovation of the Bugti Stadium, while separate discussions will take place between PCB security experts and local authorities to ensure the safety and security of all the participants, officials and spectators. KARACHI: The tickets for the first Test between Pakistan and New Zealand at National Bank Cricket Arena Karachi went on sale today (Saturday). The ticket prices range from PKR150 to PKR500. A general enclosure (Muhammad Brothers and Intakhab ALAM) ticket is for PKR150. A first-class enclosure (Asif Iqbal, Waqar Hassan and Majid Khan) ticket is for PKR250. A premium enclosure (Imran khan, Quaid, Wasim Akram and Zaheer Abbas) is for PKR300. A VIP enclosure (Hanif Muhammad, Javed Miandad and Fazal Mehmood) is for PKR500. KMC’s cricket, hockey and football teams being revived

KARACHI: Karachi Metropolitan Corporation's (KMC) cricket, hockey and football teams are being restored to bring out the talents of the youth employed in KMC. This was decided this in a meeting chaired by Administrator Karachi Dr Syed Saifur Rehman and attended by the heads of the concerned departments. Administrator Karachi said that in the past various teams of KMC have won major matches at the national level but these teams were not active for a long time. "The KMC employees wanted that KMC like other government institutions should promote sports activities and regular teams must be formed," he added.
