CDA and ICT nominated three Members designated committee to prevent and report on encroachment 

Islamabad, November 03, 2021 (PPI-OT):Capital Development Authority and ICT has nominated three Member designated committee to prevent and report on encroachment. This committee consists of Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) and Director Land and Rehabilitation CDA as authorized officers under Government Property (Elimination of Encroachments) Ordinance 2021.

Under the new law designated officers were required to be notified. Consequently, ADCR for rural and ADCG for urban while Director land for CDA lands have been notified. Penalty will be levied under the new law and recoveries can be made as arrears of land revenue. The authorized officers will be responsible for report on illegal occupation and encroachment on government property and will take action for removal of encroachments. Action against encroachers without discrimination will be taken as per law.

Notification for nomination of authorized officers has been issued. It is pertinent to mention here that CDA along with ICT Administration has been actively pursuing Ant encroachment campaigns for past few months and has retrieved land worth billions of rupees so far and has registered cases against encroachers too.
