CDA signs MoU with NUST for transparent, ITbased recruitment system

Under the chairmanship of Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, an important meeting was held here at CDA Headquarters, on Tuesday.

The meeting was attended by Member Administration, Member Planning, a delegation from NUST University, CDA Director of Human Resource Development, and other senior officials.

During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between CDA and the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST).

The agreement aims to address the shortage of human resources in various departments of CDA by recruiting candidates through a modern, foolproof, and computerbased testing and marking system grounded in merit and transparency.

Chairman Randhawa emphasized that CDA is committed to inducting only the most hardworking, competent, educated, and ITsavvy professionals. Given NUST’s excellent track record in meritbased recruitment, the university has been selected as the partner for this initiative.

As per the agreement, NUST will conduct the scrutiny of applications and computerbased written tests. All tests will be entirely computerbased, and their execution will be carried out under a scientific and automated system supervised by NUST.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa stated that the goal of this recruitment drive is not just to fill vacancies but to uphold standards, transparency, and merit. He stressed the importance of highquality testing to ensure that only the most talented individuals become part of CDA.

He further noted that the recruitment process will be completed on the basis of merit, competence, and transparency, enabling the authority to hire professionals aligned with modern requirements.

The Chairman CDA underscored the need for a modern and effective human resource and monitoring system to enhance institutional performance.

Calling the partnership with NUST a milestone, Chairman Randhawa reaffirmed CDA’s commitment to offering equal and transparent employment opportunities to highly educated, capable, and ITproficient youth.

He also expressed optimism about continued collaboration between CDA and NUST in various fields. The partnership will leverage NUST’s research and academic strength to modernize CDA operations.

By promoting cooperation between academia and public institutions, the alliance aims to drive national development, innovation, and institutional efficiency.

The NUST delegation appreciated CDA’s performance and assured Chairman Randhawa of their full support in ensuring a meritbased and technologically advanced recruitment process.

They expressed hope that the selected candidates would play a vital role in contributing to the development and prosperity of Islamabad and the nation through the CDA platform.
