Chief Secretary Sindh presides meeting of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Human Resource Research and Development Board

Karachi, March 19, 2019 (PPI-OT): Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah has emphasized upon promoting the job Oriented Training System, enabling the trained men power to get employment in private and public sector. He was presiding a high level meeting of the BBSHRRDB (Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Human Resource Research and Development Board). The Chief Secretary maintained that the curriculum of all training activities must be improved in the larger national interest with a view to boosting the economy, with the specific reference of providing 100% jobs opportunities to the passed out trainees.

It was briefed in the meeting that the training in 400 different trades has been imported to 3,77,000 (Three lacs and seventy-seven thousand) youth, of those about 40% i.e., more than 1,50000 (one lac and fifty thousands) trained youth has availed the job opportunities. It was also stated that under the 2018-19’s Training Program 13000 in private sector and 11760 youth in public sector shall be trained within a period on one-to-two years.

The meeting resolved that the strict monitoring will be made of all the training imparting institution, while all the institution would certainly ensure to provide jobs to the passed out trainees. Chief Secretary also stressed the need to conduct a research study. The approbation was accorded for training program of 10 public sector organizations and 217 private entrepreneurs including JPM, Jinnah Medical University, Department of Health, Live Stock and Fisheries, Mehran University and Irrigation Secretary Board and Universities Riaz Uddin Qureshi, Secretary Labour Wasim Ursani and others attended the meeting.
