Chinese delegation meets IGP, get briefing on citizens security status

KARACHI: Consul General of China, Li Bijian along with a 13-member delegation called on IG Sindh Police, Ghulam Nabi Memon, at Central Police Office Karachi and discussed security measures taken for China’s citizens, staff and experts working on CPEC and various other development projects in Sindh,

The IGP Sindh thanked the Chinese Consul General for his visit to the Central Police Office. He told the delegation that steps were being taken to maintain law and order so as to protect life and properties of people in Sindh besides seeking consultation for strengthening security strategy to make the police security plan solid and extraordinary.

The Additional IGP CTD briefed the delegation members on the Karachi University terrorist attack case and informed them on the progress made so far in this regard. DIG SPU also briefed the delegation about all security measures taken for the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

The Consul General thanked the Sindh police on behalf of the government of China for the overall security measures being taken in the province for Chinese and said that the his country would continue its cooperation with the Sindh police in this regard.

DIG CIA, SP Foreigners Security Cell, AIG Operations Sindh and AIG Admin CPO and CTD officers were also present at the meeting.
