Karachi: At least two persons died when a two-storied building collapsed in Lyari area of the megacity on Sunday.
As per details, the building collapsed in Koila Godam area of Bihar Colony. At least two persons died and 12 others injured who were removed to hospitals. Police, rangers and citizens started rescue operation to pull the injured and bodies from the rubble.
Residents of the area say that the building collapsed when a contractor was going digging work with heavy machinery in adjoining plot to erect a building. Some other buildings in the same street are also termed dangerous for human living.
