City – Gas explosion in Karachi’s Hyderi apartment, child killed, girl and woman injured

A powerful gas cylinder explosion in Bismillah Residency near Hyderi sparked a severe fire, killing a child, while a girl and a woman were injured and transferred to the hospital. Following this, large-scale emergency relief operations were initiated.

The explosion occurred on Sunday morning in a flat on the tenth floor of the building due to a gas leak.

Upon receiving information of the incident, fire brigade and rescue teams reached the scene and started rescue operations and efforts to control the fire.

According to officials, 4 fire brigade vehicles, 2 snorkels, and one bowser participated in controlling the fire.

According to officials, the residential building was evacuated after the incident.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) District Central, Dr. Muhammad Imran Khan, was present at the scene to supervise the coordination between relief operations and emergency services.
