QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, has said that projects regarding jail reforms and residential facilities would be included in the budget for the fiscal year 2022-23 to be presented before Balochistan Provincial Assembly on June 17, 2022. These views were expressed by him while presiding over a high-level meeting held here on Tuesday to review development schemes to be reflected in the budget for the fiscal year 2022-23. Meeting thoroughly reviewed budget’s proposals.
It was decided to attach priories to such projects that helped boost economic activities and projects meant for capacity building besides acceding to the proposal to reflect the project in the budget to ensure providing electricity to government run hospitals of the province through solar energy. Projects relating to uplifting Quetta city would also prioritized in the forthcoming financial budget of the province, accorded approval by the high level committee in its meeting held with Chief Minister in the chair.
Secretary, Finance Department Hafiz Abdul Basit briefed the meeting about financial position of the province. Minister for Communication and Works, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran, Additional Chief Secretary (Development) Planning and Development, Salman Mufti, Secretary, (Implementation), Planning and Development Department, Abdullah Khan, Acting Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Balochistan, Lal Jan Jaffar and others were amongst the attendants.
