Meeting of Kashmiri delegation with Secretary General of Muslim League Functional Sindh, detailed discussion on the situation in Kashmir

A Kashmiri delegation held a detailed dialogue on the important issue of Kashmir with the Secretary General of Muslim League Functional Sindh, Sardar Abdul Rahim, in Karachi on Tuesday.

Sardar Abdul Rahim expressed his unwavering support for the legitimate rights and self-determination of the Kashmiri people. He emphasized the historical significance of their sacrifices, calling them a bright chapter of history that demands effective global recognition.

Highlighting the urgent need of the matter, Sardar Abdul Rahim insisted on resolving the Kashmir issue according to United Nations resolutions. He reiterated Pakistan’s firm commitment to political, diplomatic, and moral support for the Kashmiri cause.

During the negotiations, a contentious topic was the proposal to abolish reserved seats for Kashmiri refugees. Sardar Abdul Rahim categorically rejected this move, calling it a direct attack on the political rights of Kashmiris. He declared any attempt to reduce their representation unacceptable and expressed a commitment to raise their rights on all platforms.

The Kashmiri delegation, including Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, Sardar Shabbir Ahmed, Ghulam Qadir, Abdul Razzaq Abbasi, and Muhammad Rashid, emphasized the need to draw global attention to the Kashmir issue. They stressed the importance of a coordinated effort to make the voice of Kashmiris heard at the international level.

Reiterating the fraternal relationship between Pakistanis and Kashmiris, Sardar Abdul Rahim stated that there will be no compromise on the rights of the Kashmiri people.
