The Meteorological Department has predicted today that moderate to dense fog is likely to prevail in the plain areas of the country including Punjab, upper Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In contrast, rain and light snowfall are expected in the northern areas of the country, especially in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during the same period.

According to the official weather bulletin, the weather is likely to remain cold and dry in the rest of the country.

The forecast indicates a significant weather divide, with winter precipitation confined to the mountainous north while severe cold and dry conditions will prevail elsewhere.
