NAUNDERO: Aged Ghulam Nabi, son of Wali Dino Bhutto, resident of Chito Bhutta village of Gambat, reached here and held a protest demonstration on Monday against non-payment of compensation amount of Rs1.1 million of six murders.
Narrating his story, Ghulam Nabi said that six people from a single home were gunned down 23 years ago in the Bhutto-Sethar dispute on 4th February 1999 in Paru Bhutto village between the communities of Mazhar Bhutto and Khadim Sethar. He said the killed people include his father Wali Dino, two borthers Haji Khan and Abdul Haq, Saeed Ahmed and Ghulam Muhammad Bhutto who were murdered by people of Sethar community.
He said the jirga of the murders was held in 2005 at the Otaq of Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto which was also participated by Sundar Khan Sundrani and Hassan Mahmood Shah Amroti. He said that tThe jirga decided three lac rupees compensation for each murder. He said that out of a total amount of Rs.1.8 million he has only received 750,000 in the last 17 years. He said Mazhar Bhutto had promised to pay the balance amount of Rs11 lacs or three acre guava archard will be given to me but neither the amount has been paid nor the orchard has been given to me so far despite passage of 23 long years.
He further alleged that Gudu Bhutto son of Mazhar Bhutto sold the guava orchard to a trader of Larkana but did not pay me my balance amount despite the fact that he obtained the amount from the concerned accused parties. He urged current chieftain of Bhutto community Sardar Ameer Baksh Bhutto to get him the balance amount and earn his blessings.
