Consulate General of Royal Thailand visits Karachi International Book Fair

Karachi, December 22, 2018 (PPI-OT): Consulate General of Royal Thailand in Karachi Mr. Thatre Chauvauaata offered Pakistani publishers to make a comprehensive plan for translations of prominent books of Thai literature and other books into Urdu and government will provide all kind of assistance to them. He said this initiative will help to end academic bearers between Thailand and Pakistan. He also assured full representation of Thailand in upcoming Karachi International Book Fair 2019 to be held in Karachi.

Mr. Thatre Chauvauaata expressed these views during his visit of 14th Karachi International Book Fair at Expo Centre Karachi. He also held meeting with representatives of local publishers and booksellers. Chairman Pakistan Publishers and Booksellers Association Aziz Khalid, Convener Karachi International Book Fair 2018 Owais Mirza Jameel, Deputy Convener Waqar Mateen Khan and others presents on this occasion.

Mr. Thatre Chauvauaata paid visit different book stalls and took keen interest in national and international books. He expressed his pleasure that international literature and other famous books is available under one roof at Expo Centre. He advised the local publishers to make comprehensive plan to translate Thai literature in Urdu to share knowledge with each other and Thailand government is ready to assist them. Later, Consulate General of Royal Thailand has penned his feelings about book fair in guest book at Expo Centre.
