Court dismisses contempt petition against Maryam

Karachi: The application for filing a case of contempt of judiciary against Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Monday was rejected by Additional Session Judge Liaqat Ali Ranjha. According to the details, the application was declared inaudible and dismissed by the Additional Session Judge.

The court decision said that this case comes under the authority of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and this petition is not admissible on this forum. The application against Maryam Nawaz was submitted by Nawaz Ali and it said that she used foul language against the judiciary in her presser on 25th July, hence a case should be filed.
