Crackdown across Punjab against illegally residing Afghan citizens, over 32,000 repatriated

Security has been placed on high alert across Punjab due to the intensification of operations by the provincial police against Afghan citizens residing without legal documents.

A Punjab Police spokesperson confirmed today that as a result of the ongoing campaign, over 32,000 Afghan citizens have been repatriated so far.

Another 90 individuals are currently at various holding points awaiting their repatriation.

The directive to place security on high alert was issued by Inspector General (IG) of Punjab Abdul Karim. He ordered measures to ensure the complete repatriation of all undocumented Afghan citizens from the province.
