(Cricket): PHF top officials meet Chief of Army Staff

Karachi: President Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Khalid Sajjad Khokhar called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and briefed COAS on steps being taken to improve the standard of hockey across the country.

 

COAS said the Army has always supported sports and especially hockey. He said that the government is keen to revive hockey and this opportunity should be used to the maximum. The COAS announced a grant of Rs50 million out of the Army’s Welfare Fund for the PHF and agreed to take further steps for the betterment of hockey. President PHF thanked the COAS for continued support for hockey.
