The concluding ceremony of a 25-day Dars-e-Quran was held on Monday at Jamia Arabia Sultan-ul-Madaris and Oriental College Khairpur, which concluded with special prayers for peace and order in the Muslim world, with particular prayers offered for the believers in Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq.
The event marked the culmination of the Dars-e-Quran program held at Jamia Arabia Sultan-ul-Madaris and Oriental College. This lecture series ran from the 1st to the 25th of Ramadan under the patronage of Hujjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Syed Shehanshah Hussain Naqvi.
The closing ceremony was held in the seminary’s prayer hall, where Professor Dr. Wahid Bakhsh Jatoi, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur, was the chief guest. The institution’s Academic Director, Professor Dr. Sajjad Ali Raeesi, managed the program and hosted the ceremony.
The proceedings began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by students. Several religious scholars and distinguished guests addressed the audience, discussing the importance of Quranic teachings and their promotion in society.
An examination on the lecture content was conducted for the participating students. Top performers were awarded cash prizes, cups, and other awards. Students who completed the recitation of the Holy Quran were adorned with floral garlands, and all seminary students were given honorary certificates for their academic performance.
The gathering was attended by numerous prominent figures, including Maulana Muhammad Baqir Najfi, Maulana Muhammad Hassan Mashhadi, Maulana Fida Hussain Kazmi, Maulana Sajid Hussain Kazmi, and Professor Syed Muhammad Mutahir Zaidi.
The seminary’s faculty, teachers from Al-Qaim Model School, and a large number of students and local residents were also present on the occasion.
Professor Dr. Sajjad Ali Raeesi delivered the closing remarks, thanking the guests and participants. The formal ceremony concluded with a prayer by Maulana Ghulam Shabbir Haideri, after which a feast was arranged for all attendees.
