Prices of precious metals witnessed a significant decline in local and international markets on Thursday, with the per tola price of 24 karat gold experiencing a major decrease of Rs 2,900.
Following this decrease, the new per tola price of 24 karat gold was recorded at Rs 540,362. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold decreased by Rs 2,486 to Rs 463,273, while the price of 10 grams of 22 karat gold fell by Rs 2,279 to Rs 424,682.
This downturn in the local market reflects the trend in the global market, where the international price of gold decreased by $29 to $5,176.
The silver market also recorded a significant decrease in value. The per tola price of 24 karat silver decreased by Rs 179 to Rs 9,175. The price of 10 grams of 24 karat silver also closed at Rs 7,866 after a decrease of Rs 153.
Internationally, the price of silver saw a decrease of $1.79, reaching $86.91.
