According to the latest update from the Meteorological Department, moderate to dense fog and smog are predicted to cover the plain areas of Punjab, upper Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the weather forecast made on Tuesday, the weather will remain cold and partly cloudy in most parts of the country.
Temperatures recorded this morning show varying intensities of cold across the country. Six degrees Celsius was recorded in Islamabad and Quetta, a slightly warmer nine in Peshawar, thirteen in Lahore, and eighteen degrees Celsius in Karachi.
Conditions remained colder in the northern areas where Gilgit and Murree were at four degrees Celsius while Muzaffarabad was at five degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, very cold and partly cloudy weather is predicted in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramulla. The weather is expected to be cold and partly cloudy in Jammu.
In the morning, Leh was the coldest place in the region at minus seven degrees Celsius. One degree was recorded in Anantnag and Shopian, while Srinagar, Pulwama, and Baramulla recorded two degrees Celsius. The temperature in Jammu was ten degrees.
