Thatta’s Deputy Commissioner Sarmad Ali Bhagat today, after a comprehensive review of ongoing public welfare projects, issued strict directives for the swift and transparent completion of various development projects, emphasizing ensuring high-quality implementation to immediately benefit the public.
The district head visited several locations in Makli and Thatta, where he reviewed the current status of several important initiatives. These include the renovation of the old SRTC bus stand, the construction of a new passenger shed, and the construction of a pedestrian bridge, which is being supervised by the Provincial Coastal Highway Division. Other programs included a proposed digital library at Makli Public Park, the long-pending auditorium project, and the significant restoration work of the historic Jamia Masjid.
During the visit to the sites, concerned officials provided detailed briefings on the progress of each project. Mr. Bhagat emphasized that the swift completion of these works would bring significant improvements to local transport facilities, enhance educational facilities, and upgrade basic urban amenities, while also guaranteeing a safe passage for citizens.
The administrator reiterated the district administration’s commitment to the timely completion of all these developmental efforts and tireless endeavors for the continuous improvement of public services throughout the region.
