LARKANA: In the presence of the Larkana’s assistant commissioner Friday, during the distribution of relief supplies, the victims ran over the truck, insulting each other.
According to the report, under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Ahmed Ali Soomro, the flood victims living in the tent city established at municipal stadium with the cooperation of the Sindh government and the district administration were given rations and tents. He said that they were being sent back to their places but we arranged ration etc. for them before sending them back so that they could be able to live peacefully but there was disorder during the distribution of relief goods and the victims got on the truck and took the tents with their hands while humiliating each other.
On this occasion, AC Ahmed Ali Soomro said while talking to the media that in this tent city established by the Sindh government and the district administration, 400 registered flood victims belonging to Dadu, Mehar, K N Shah, Qamber Shahdadkot and other cities of Sindh have been given ration and other item since past two months since their stay and the administration is providing them with food, medicine and other facilities.
He said today, we have given rations, tents and medicines to 300 families and left them happily to their places. He said 100 families are still living in the tent city, who say that the flood water is still standing in their villages, for which the district administration will provide facilities to the affected families in the tent city. Meanwhile, Chamber of Commerce people also visited Ghogharo village and distributed relief goods among 200 poverty-stricken families.
