District Scholarship Board Khairpur Meeting Held, Comprehensive Review of Procedure Presented

The Khairpur Need-cum-Merit District Scholarship Board will consult with the Government of Sindh and its Finance Department to address financial and legal hurdles affecting educational funding for students, announced the board’s chairman during a key meeting on Wednesday.

Presiding over the meeting for the 2025-26 session at Sachal Sarmast Hall, Deputy Commissioner Altaf Ahmed Chachar, who is also the board’s chairman, confirmed that official channels would be utilized. He emphasized that the required documentation and legal procedures would be expedited to resolve matters promptly.

During the meeting, Board Secretary Farhan Abro presented a comprehensive overview of the scholarship procedure. He detailed the eligibility requirements, the applicant scrutiny process, and the public universities, colleges, and other educational institutions included in the program.

Mr. Abro clarified that financial aid under the scheme is directly transferred to the bank accounts of successful candidates from public institutions.

He further assured that all stakeholders would be consulted to ensure the timely disbursement of scholarship funds and the prompt resolution of any outstanding issues.

Accountant Nadeem Pathan presented a financial report, which included a detailed briefing on the scholarship account and its associated financial matters.

The high-level meeting was also attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (I) Riaz Shaikh, Professor Maqsooda Bhatti, Hafiz Shaikh, Ayaz Ali Memon, Professor Mumtaz Hussain Mughal, Dr. Farrukh Imtiaz Bhambhro, Saira Nawaz Baloch, and other distinguished members and officials.
