Drive against power theft in Ibrahim Hyderi, Korangi; 850 illegal connections removed

Karachi, April 30, 2019 (PPI-OT): Nationwide drive against power theft continues, and illegal electrical connections were removed during an extensive raid in Ibrahim Hyderi, Korangi. In the face of heated protest by residents, K-Electric teams supported by Law Enforcing Agencies, successfully removed 850 kunda wires, weighing over 1100 kilograms and notices were also served.

The raids are in line with the objective of curbing power theft so as to reduce load-shed and strengthen the power supply situation across the country. Last week, during another raid in Muslimabad, Landhi, power-theft cables and connectors weighing over 800 kilograms were also removed.
