Drivers End Chaman Border Protest After Talks

Mazda drivers in Chaman ended their demonstration outside the Frontier Corps fort after negotiations with district officials.

The drivers had set some of their vehicles on fire, claiming FC personnel were preventing them from earning a living. They cited the border closure with Afghanistan as a factor leaving many jobless. Deputy Commissioner Habib Ahmed Bangulzai directed Assistant Commissioner Imtiaz Ali Baloch and FC officers to engage in discussions with the demonstrators. The talks proved successful, leading to the end of the protest.
