Dry weather is likely in most parts of the country, however, the Meteorological Department has forecast a significant change in the weather in several areas of the country today, where rain with strong winds and thunderstorms is expected.
The areas to be affected by this change in weather include specific locations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Central Punjab, and Northeast Balochistan. This forecast is also for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Temperatures varied in major urban centers of the country this morning. Twelve degrees Celsius was recorded in both the capital Islamabad and Muzaffarabad. The temperature in Lahore was nineteen degrees while in Karachi it was twenty-four degrees Celsius.
The morning temperature in Peshawar was fifteen degrees Celsius. The weather remained cold in Quetta and Murree, where the temperature was seven degrees, while Gilgit was the coldest place with five degrees Celsius.
In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the weather is likely to remain partly cloudy and cold in Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramulla. Meanwhile, the weather in Srinagar and Jammu is expected to remain partly cloudy but dry.
According to the temperatures recorded in the region this morning, it was minus four degrees Celsius in Leh. Five degrees in Srinagar and Baramulla, thirteen degrees in Jammu, while four degrees was recorded in Pulwama and Anantnag and three degrees Celsius in Shopian.
