The Meteorological Department Quetta Regional Center has forecasted a spell of hot and dry weather across Balochistan for the coming days, with dust storms anticipated in several districts. Predicted over the next 48 hours, districts such as Nokkundi, Dalbandin, Washuk, Kech, Panjgur, and Kharan are expected to experience dust storms, accompanied by occasional strong gusts.
In addition, areas including Noshki, Surab, Quetta, Mastung, Pishin, and Sibbi can expect dust blowing winds, particularly during the afternoons and evenings. Meanwhile, Barkhan, Labella, and Hub districts are likely to witness humid and partly cloudy conditions within the next 24 hours.
The forecast also indicates that Rakhshan, Makran, and Naseerabad divisions will endure hot and very dry weather alongside patching hot daytime temperatures. Over the past 24 hours, Sibbi recorded a high of 47.5°C, with Turbat and Labella following closely behind at 46.5°C and 46.0°C, respectively. These conditions underscore the ongoing heatwave affecting the region.
