E-Ticketing system launched in Khairpur Mirs after Karachi, Hyderabad

Vehicle owners in Khairpur Mirs have been directed to promptly update their registration documents, as the city’s newly launched E-Ticketing system will issue traffic fines to the previous owner if a vehicle’s transfer of ownership is not officially recorded.

According to an official report today, the digital traffic violation system was officially inaugurated by SSP Khairpur Dr. Samiullah Soomro at the Khairpur Police Headquarters, following a directive from IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon. This expansion makes Khairpur Mirs the third city in the province, after Karachi and Hyderabad, to adopt the modern enforcement method.

Under this new computerized framework, all traffic infractions will be documented via e-challans. Surveillance cameras will be utilized to automatically impose penalties for violations such as excessive speed and improper parking.

To support the initiative, an E-Challan Facilitation Center has been established at the police headquarters, providing a dedicated location for citizens to settle fines and seek related information.

Authorities have issued several crucial instructions for all motorists, emphasizing that vehicle number plates must remain clear and accurate. It is also mandatory for drivers to carry their license and vehicle documents at all times.

The system is designed for strict enforcement, with an immediate challan being issued for running a red light. Citizens are also reminded to keep their mobile phone numbers updated with their vehicle registration data to ensure they receive violation notifications promptly.

Upon receiving an e-challan, fines must be paid within the stipulated period. Officials strongly advised individuals with incomplete vehicle documentation to have them updated without delay to ensure compliance with the new regulations.
