Eid greetings extended to Kashmiri Muslims

Srinagar, July 21, 2021 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and other Hurriyat leaders and organisations extending Eid greetings to the Muslims across the world have asked the Kashmiri people to take care of the families of martyrs and detainees on this auspicious occasion.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Working Vice Chairman, Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar in his Eid message appealed to the Muslim population of IIOJK, AJK, and the Ummah at large to pray for the blessings of Allah, freedom of Kashmir and Palestine from illegal occupations and raise their voice against the genocide, illegal detentions and denial of fundamental rights to the people of the two occupied regions by India and Israel.

The Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who has been under house arrest for the last two years, said the festival of sacrifice, in essence, carries such a life-giving message which is associated with the prosperity of humanity. He said that Eid-ul-Azha in Jammu and Kashmir is being celebrated this year too at a time when the ordinary Kashmiris are facing immense state of repression and other problems.

The IIOJK Grand Mufti, Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam prayed that may this day bring peace and prosperity, joy and happiness in Kashmiris’ lives. Anjuman Sharie Shian President Syed Agha Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi and Hurriyat leaders Molvi Bashir Ahmad Irfani, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza and Abdul Samad Inqilabi also felicitated Eid greetings to the Kashmiri Muslims. The leaders expressing deep concern over the grim situation in IIOJK urged people to take care of orphans, widows, physically disabled persons, prisoners and their families.

Prominent religious scholar and the Chairman of Ummat-e-Islami, Qazi Ahmed in a statement issued in Srinagar, extending Eid greetings to the Muslims, said, may Allah accept sacrifices of the Kashmiris and bring peace in the territory.
