Eight outlaws held, hashish and wine recovered

Islamabad, November 12, 2018 (PPI-OT): Islamabad Police have arrested eight outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered hashish, heroine, wine and weapons from their possession. According to details, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ashraf from Sihal police arrested accused Abdul Waheed and recovered 1060 gram hashish from him. ASI Sajjid Iqbal also arrested accused Abid Hussain and recovered 20 wine bottles from him.

Sub-Inspector Rub-Nawaz from Tarnol police arrested two drug pushes namely Muhammad Farooq and Inzamam Asghar and recovered 400 gram heroine from him. Sub-Inspector Muhammad Shafique and ASI Zafar Iqbal arrested 03 accused Muhammad Yasir, Nasir Nisar and Zia and recovered one 12 bore rifle, and two 30 bore illicit pistols along with ammunition from their possession.

Sub-Inspector Mansoor Ahmed from Noon police arrested accused Abdul Sohaib and recovered 300 gram heroin from him. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.

SSP Islamabad Waqar-Ud-Din Syed has appreciated this performance and directed all Station House Officers for effective crackdown against those involved in drug peddling activities. He asked for renewed efforts to curb such practices and get rid of society from such menace. He said that performance in this regard would be reviewed on continuous basis.

He said that menace of drug peddling would not be allowed in educational institutions or anywhere and strict action to be ensured against those involved in such ugly business or activity. The SSP also categorically asked all police officials to focus on resolving the public complaints and take every possible step to provide maximum relief to citizens.
