Islamabad, January 19, 2023 (PPI-OT):Islamabad Capital Police Sihala Police team has apprehended nine land grabbers during an operation against land grabbing mafia, a police public Relation Officer said. He said that, a grand operation against land grabbers is going on following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan.
According to the details, Sihala police received a call from a citizen that some land grabbers and their operatives were trying to occupy his land. Upon receiving the information the Sihala police team immediately responded and arrested nine accused on the spot. Police team also seized the vehicle used by the land grabbers. Case has been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
The accused were identified as Abdullah, Haji Alam, Mena Zada, Alam Khan, Saman Gul, Gul Hakim, Sultan Wali, Wali khan and Muhammad Wali. CPO (Operations) has said that land grabbing activities would not be tolerated and indiscriminate action would continue against those who illegally occupy land of others. He directed the officials to take prompt action on complaints of citizens and provide relief. Citizens are also requested to report any such incident to the police immediately, he maintained.
