Karachi, April 26, 2019 (PPI-OT): Engr. Daroo Khan Achakzai, President of the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) has congratulated Dr. Nouman Idris Butt, Chief Executive of Capital Sports Corp (Pvt.) Ltd. on having been selected by World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) for the Gold: IP and Sports Award on IP – Day 2019 in a ceremony being organized at Islamabad on 24th April, 2019 at Serena Hotel on the occasion of World Intellectual Property (IP) Day, for which he rightly deserved by virtue of his long, outstanding, dedicated and devoted services in the field of Sports Goods Industry of Pakistan in meeting the objective of creating awareness and educating public about Intellectual Property (IP) and encouraging innovation and creativity.
The FPCCI Chief added that conferment of the Award is an appreciation of the endless and relentless services being rendered by Dr. Nouman Idris Butt for the promotion of Sports Goods Industry of Pakistan which at present, by no means, lag behind in meeting this national objective and therefore, is an equal partner in economic development of the country besides providing valuable services in the social sector.
The President of FPCCI elaborated that IPO – Pakistan in recognition of valuable services and contribution of our sports goods manufacturers and exporters – on the basis of available records of IP related applications and registration and in consultation with the concerned stakeholders including Sialkot CCI; Pakistan Sports Goods Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PSGMEA); Pakistan Gloves Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PGMEA); Pakistan Leather Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PLGMEA); Pakistan Readymade Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA) etc., has selected Dr. Nouman Idris Butt’s company for being the “Highest Filer and Patent Application” and unanimously decided to present him with IP – Day 2019 Award.
