According to Muhammad Tahir Khokhar, the Central President of Pasban-e-Watan Pakistan, the establishment of the Pak-Turk school in Azad Kashmir has been declared a significant milestone for regional educational development and a strong symbol of the Pakistan-Turkey strategic partnership.
In a statement on Sunday, the former Minister for Tourism and Transport emphasized that this new institution will provide world-class modern education to Kashmiri youth, which will play a key role in connecting them to international educational and professional opportunities.
Mr. Khokhar said that in the current global context, education is the foundation of the social, economic, and intellectual development of nations. He suggested that the establishment of an international-standard institution in a sensitive area like Azad Kashmir is a manifestation of the joint investment of Pakistan and Turkey in human development.
The purpose of this school is not only to raise educational standards but also to play a significant role in modernizing the state’s education system, which will provide students with a high-quality alternative to studying abroad.
He described the Pak-Turk schools as a practical manifestation of the deep and exemplary relations between the two countries, which, according to him, are built on mutual trust, cultural harmony, and shared values.
It is expected that the curriculum will be aligned with teaching methods based on modern scientific and research foundations, incorporating contemporary technology and ethical values to meet global educational needs. Mr. Khokhar believes that the graduating students will be able to achieve a prominent position in national and international educational and professional fields, which will effectively open global doors for the children of the state.
Praising Turkey’s historical role, he said that the country has always shown practical solidarity with the Kashmiri people. He expressed thanks on behalf of the Kashmiri people for Turkey’s support in difficult times, including immediate aid and rehabilitation after the earthquake.
Mr. Khokhar also said that this educational facility will further strengthen people-to-people contacts between Pakistan and Turkey. He expects that this institution will open new avenues for educational, cultural, and social cooperation, serving as a model for promoting high-quality education throughout the region.
He concluded by saying that the Pak-Turk schools are a strong symbol of brotherhood and mutual cooperation that will provide the youth of Azad Kashmir with new opportunities for development, self-confidence, and global representation.
