Governor Punjab Sardar Salim Haider has stressed that every patriotic political and religious party urgently needs to play a national role based on the country’s interest, and said that such a united perspective is indispensable for Pakistan’s development, prosperity, and strength.
The Governor made these remarks on Monday during a breakfast ceremony held in his and Gilgit-Baltistan Governor Syed Mehdi Shah’s honor at the residence of Muhammad Tariq Hassan, the Central Secretary General of the Pakistan Muslim League and Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh.
Addressing the participants, Gilgit-Baltistan Governor Syed Mehdi Shah highlighted his personal relationship with the host and mentioned his deep bond of affection with Tariq Hassan.
The gathering was attended by numerous political figures and community leaders, including Pakistan Muslim League Sindh President Sarai Niaz Hussain Khaskheli, General Secretary Kanwar Arshad Ali Khan, and Provincial Information Secretary Muhammad Sadiq Shaikh. Karachi Division President Muhammad Jameel Ahmed Khan and representatives of traders’ organizations and the Attock Chhachhi Ittehad were also present.
As a gesture of cultural appreciation, both guest governors were presented with traditional Sindhi gifts, Ajrak and Topi.
In his concluding remarks, the host, Muhammad Tariq Hassan, thanked Governor Sardar Salim Haider and Governor Syed Mehdi Shah for visiting his residence and expressed his best wishes for them.
