LAHORE:Shamim Akhtar, the mother of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif passed away in London on Sunday morning, informed PML-N leader Ataullah Tarar on Twitter. She was 90.
“Mian Nawaz Sharif and Mian Shahbaz Sharif’s respected mother has passed away,” senior PML-N leader Tarar tweeted today. The real cause of death could not be immediately ascertained, however, she was ill for some time and was being treated in London. She has been living with her son Nawz in London since February 2020.
