Extra ordinary measures adopted for bringing transparency in FBR

QUETTA: Sardar Ali Khuwaja, Member, Public Relations, Federal Board of Revenue, has said that extra ordinary measures had been adopted for bringing transparency in Federal Board of Revenue.

These views were expressed by him while addressing the 10th POS prize scheme of Federal Board of Revenue as Chief Guest here on Saturday. He said that “Point of Sale” of Federal Board of Revenue was a landmark achievement and it needed to be expanded. He added public awareness with regard to point of sale was required to be created.

Urging the traders to deposit taxes in national exchequer through POS system, he said that Chairman, Federal Board of Revenue was paying heed to the grievances of people in open courts and accordingly getting the issues of people addressed. He said that date fixed for file return had been extended till October 31, 2022 owing to recent floods.

Earlier, Sardar Ali Khuwaja, Member, Public Relations, Federal Board of Revenue inaugurated computerized POS for draw through POS schemes of FBR by pressing the button. On the occasion, Chief Commissioner, F.B.R, Quetta, Shahid Mehmood Sheikh, President, Anjuman Tajiran, Balochistan, Abdul Rahim Kakar, President, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Quetta, Balochistan, Abdullah Khan, President, Tax Bar Association, Abdul Baqi and others were also present.
