Fatima Fertilizer Celebrates Women in Agriculture with New Campaign

Karachi: In celebration of International Women's Day, Fatima Fertilizer Company Limited has launched its "Sarsabz Tabeer: Seeds of Change" campaign, paying tribute to the women shaping the future of agriculture in Pakistan. The initiative highlights the crucial yet often-overlooked role of rural women in the agricultural sector and emphasizes their contributions as farmers, entrepreneurs, and changemakers.

According to Fatima Fertilizer Company Limited, the campaign is anchored by the Sarsabz Tabeer programme, which was introduced in 2022 to enhance women's participation in agriculture. The programme focuses on education, financial aid, skill development, and healthcare, aiming to provide women with the necessary tools for financial independence and resilience.

The programme has reached over 3,500 women, offering training in food processing to reduce post-harvest losses and create new income opportunities. In partnership with Akhuwat, it also provides interest-free loans to help women entrepreneurs start small businesses. Additionally, collaborations with Mukhtar A. Sheikh Hospital and the Punjab Government have facilitated healthcare camps to offer medical consultations to female farmers and their families.

Rabel Sadozai, Director of Marketing and Sales at Fatima Fertilizer, emphasized the importance of recognizing women's contributions to agriculture, stating that empowering women is crucial for sustainable growth and national prosperity. The "Seeds of Change" campaign underscores Fatima Fertilizer's commitment to fostering an inclusive agricultural ecosystem and setting an example for corporate engagement in women's empowerment.
