Federal delegation designated Sindh Agriculture University as a national center for agricultural transformation

A high-level federal delegation from the Secretariat Training Institute, Islamabad, on Monday recognized Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam, as one of the country’s most prominent agricultural institutions and expressed confidence in its potential to lead Pakistan’s future agricultural development.

The delegation, on a study tour to review the institutional framework of Sindh Agriculture University, was led by STI Directors Ms. Sadia Bashir and Mr. Israr Ahmed. The delegation included 26 CSS officers from the Office Management Group, 27 CSS officers from the Gilgit-Baltistan Office Management Service, four deputy directors, and one staff officer.

A formal reception was held in the university’s Senate Hall in honor of the delegation, presided over by Dr. Inayatullah Rajper, Dean of the Faculty of Crop Production. In his welcome address, Registrar Ghulam Mohiuddin Qureshi highlighted the institution’s contemporary research role and its dedication to practical education.

During a comprehensive briefing, Dr. Abdul Mubeen Lodhi and Dr. Saleem Masih Bhatti presented an overview of the university’s modern infrastructure. They detailed the smart classrooms, advanced laboratories, specialized research centers, and other academic facilities designed to provide students with extensive opportunities for fieldwork and practical learning, supported by residential and transport services.

Applauding the institution’s progress, STI Directors Ms. Sadia Bashir and Mr. Israr Ahmed described Sindh Agriculture University as a progressive, research-oriented institution that is raising the standard of agricultural higher education in the country. They affirmed that Sindh Agriculture University’s ongoing research and on-field innovations are laying the groundwork for a new era of agricultural self-sufficiency and enhanced productivity for Pakistan.
