Islamabad, January 24, 2023 (PPI-OT):The Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, met with His Excellency Mr. Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Finance, State of Qatar, on 23rd January 2023. Dr. Muhammad Jehanzeb Khan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Government Effectiveness and H.E. Muhammad Aijaz, Ambassador of Pakistan to Qatar, also attended the meeting.
The finance minister congratulated his counterpart on successful completion of FIFA World Cup 2022. He also apprised regarding the recovery and rehabilitation efforts after the massive floods in Pakistan. During the meeting, they discussed different areas of mutual interest.
They both agreed that both countries share historical and cordial relations, and Pakistan and Qatar can explore cooperation in the field of science and technology, agriculture, and education. The Finance Minister also extended invitation to Mr. Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari to visit Pakistan.
